This Emergency First Aid at Work course is essential for staff appointed to look after First-Aid. You never know when you may need to use first aid skills and need to have the confidence to act in a potentially life-threatening situation.
Emergency First Aid at Work : Course Aims
The course aims to fully prepare your staff to take immediate First-Aid action when needed. In the workplace it is important to always have someone who can take immediate First-Aid action.
Emergency First Aid at Work : Course Duration
6 hours and a half day Refresher Course is recommended each year.
Course Content
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Practical including the use of Automated External Defibrillators AED)
- The Asphyxiated Casualty
- The Unconscious Casualty
- Treating Wounds
- Control of Bleeding
- First Aid Kits
- Record Keeping
- Burns and Electrocution
The HSE provides some basic advice on First Aid at Work.
Course Certification
A Certificate, for the purpose of Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, will be presented to each person on successful completion of this course (includes examination). This course is of standards acceptable to the Health & Safety Executives.
